What does a skincare routine look like for my tween?

A skincare routine for your tween should be simple, effective, and tailored to their unique needs. Here's a basic skincare routine that's suitable for most tweens:

Morning Routine:

  1. Cleansing: Start the day with a gentle cleanser to remove sweat and oil buildup from overnight.  Be-Tween's Aloe Cleansing Ball face cleanser is a mild, non-drying cleanser suitable for all skin types.

  2. Moisturizing: Be-Tween's Aloe Moisturizer is a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer that keeps their skin soft and protected throughout the day. It is also non-comedogenic so it won't clog their pores.

  3. Sunscreen: Although Be-Tween currently does not have a sunscreen in our line, we know that sun protection is essential. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to shield their skin from harmful UV rays. Reapply if they'll be spending time outdoors.

Evening Routine:

  1. Cleansing: In the evening, cleanse their face again with the Aloe Cleansing Ball face cleanser to remove dirt, pollutants, and makeup if applicable. It is gentle, sulfate-free!

  2. Moisturizing: Reapply the Aloe Moisturizer to keep their skin hydrated overnight. This helps repair and replenish the skin as they sleep.

Weekly Routine (1-2 Times a Week):

  1. Exfoliation: Depending on their skin type and needs, consider using a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week.

  2. Masking: Treat them (and yourself!) to a fun and relaxing mask session once a week. Mix the Aloe Mask Powder with water and apply to face.  The Aloe Mask is good for all skin type and hydrates and helps calm the skin.

Tips:

  • Ensure that all products are suitable for their specific skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive).
  • Teach them to apply products gently and avoid harsh scrubbing.
  • Encourage consistency in their routine, emphasizing the importance of daily cleansing and sun protection.
  • Make it a bonding experience by doing skincare routines together if possible.
  • Monitor their skin for any changes or issues and adjust the routine accordingly.

Remember, every tween's skin is unique, so you may need to adjust the routine based on their specific needs and any dermatologist recommendations. The goal is to teach them good skincare habits that will serve them well throughout their lives.
